I took my first tole painting class in the spring of 1995.
I was hooked. I had to paint every chance I could get. In the fall
of 2000 I completed my “Mary Owens Designs” certification.
That is Pen & Ink and oil rouging. My husband started working
with wood at about the same time as I began painting.
We belong and display our works of art at the
Metcalfe Farmers Market. The Market runs from the beginning
of May till the end of October. We take in several of the
Christmas craft shows. My husband makes all my wood pieces
such as plaques, potato bins, brush boxes, shelves, and magazine
racks etc. I also paint on milk cans, hand saws, cross cut saws
etc. I teach Pen and Ink with oil roughing and acrylics.
I joined an artist group “The Branch Artisan” summer of 2004.

I am a self-taught wood worker. I plain all my own wood. Most of my work is custom made.
I make shelves, benches, and plaques, just to name a few items. I will make whatever the customer wishes.
