Mellisa Ross Studios

Having discovered her creativity through scrapbooking in 2005, Mellisa fell in love with texture and colour a few years later ans the ventured in to the mixed media world. Though she gravitated towards all things abstract, it was creating faceless girls (commonly known as “She Art“) that really brought her joy. Using the medium of mixed media, Mellisa spent many years creating pieces that were meant to uplift, encourage and inspire women.

The focus of her creativity took a turn at the beginning of the pandemic when a random Instagram reel popped up and showed Mellisa that her long ignored alcohol inks could be used in ways far beyond how they were used in her scrapbooking days. She was instantly excited about the potential they had and began taking virtual courses, spending countless hours working on techniques.
